EOTC 5

EOTC THURSDAY

On Thursday I woke up at about 5:30AM then started to talk with Ronita, Wanita and Warda then at 6:00 Am we had breakfast we had baked beans on toast for breakfast it was yum, then we got dressed brushed our teeth and hair and then at 6:30am we had boot camp after boot camp we made our lunch and then we packed up our stuff and put it in our classroom and then we waited in our hui lines and then we got in the bus and went to the swimming pools and played in the deep pool and on the blowup course it was so fun but I had to leave early because I had to go to a meeting after the meeting I came back to school and got my stuff and then I went home.

EOTC 4

EOTC TUESDAY.

On Tuesday we had Survival Day at school its was kind of boring, there was five activities, the first activity I went to was with Miss Breuss-McBride in the hall it was fun but the group I was with only got to do one activity it was exhausting.

The second activity was in room 17 it was fun we learnt how to wrap a sprained ankle in a bandage and how to put your arm in a arm sling and elevation sling once we learnt how to do a arm sling Whaea Bex put my arm into an arm sling it was weird but at the same time it was funny then we went into room 8 with Miss Holland and we were able to do two activities we could make an exercise box or make a card for someone I made a card but I didn’t get to finish it because we had to go to the next class the next class was room 11 with Miss Kyle she was filling in for Miss Smith in room 11 we made posters of what we needed in our survival kit and what we should have in our survival kit of course we didn’t get to finish it mostly because we were talking but also because we didn’t have enough time and the lucky last class was room 10 with Miss Hills in room 10 we had some cards that had pictures on it I can’t remember what thought I remember oxygen, water, food and milk though but we pretended we were on a journey in space and the mother ship crashed 320 km away from or destination and we had to get there by using the supplies we had.

EOTC 3

EOTC MONDAY.

On Monday pohutukawa block walked down to the lagoon and had lots of fun.

First we had a snack when we got there then we had something to eat and then put our bags under a tree and then went to play, after we had a play me (Tanika) Wanita, Warda, Rhiannon and Ronita had a shared lunch, when it was lunch time.

Then we had another little play and walked back up to school.

EOTC 2

EOTC Wednesday.

On Wednesday we went to Te Papa and Nga Taonga Sound and Vision, Te papa was fun because we got to do an activity sheet but it was hard too.

At Nga Taonga Sound and Vision the year 5’s and 6’s got to learn about the history of wellington and porirua it was a bit boring but it was cool to learn about, near the end we watched some old TV shows that the adults watched when they were around our age the shows were really funny I couldn’t stop laughing I wanted to watch more but we ran out of time we went outside and stood as close as we could to the wall as we could then we went back to school in the bus.BY.TANIKA.LOL.<3.

EOTC WEDNESDAY NIGHT

On Wednesday night we played games and watched movies. First we played two games of Spotlight and then the year 5’s and 6’s went back inside (year 4’s were at the zoo) we ate dinner and then got ready for bed dinner was yum we had milo too, after we got ready for bed we got in bed and started to talk then we watched the movie Flubber, it was funny we had to stop the movie halfway through because it was bedtime, I was sleeping next to Rhiannon and Wanita, Rhiannon fell asleep straight away a few minutes later Wanita fell asleep me and Warda were still awake, Wanita started to sleep talk it was funny because she was talking about Harry Potter it was so funny but at the same time it was sad because it was a nightmare she has nightmares when she’s away from home, Wanita got angry in her sleep so she made a fist and did a floppy punch and punched Warda it didn’t hurt her thought she was fine Wanita did the same thing to me too then me and warda fell asleep and that was the end of wednesday night.

Early Maori

On Wednesday we learnt about the maori technology such as…

food,waka,whāre,fire,weapons/tools and clothes

We also learnt about technology/What  is technology about?

Like:

-meets a need/problem.

-invention by design.

-practical resources/materials.

-innovation and adaption.

We also learnt about Moa did you know that the tallest moa can be 4 meters tall that’s as tall as the tallest point in my classroom.

The shortest moa is as tall as your shoulder believe it or not.(adults shoulder)

Whaea Toni also made a wahakura (baby basket) for her grandson, to make a wahakura you actually need 60 pieces of harakeke believe it or not. Thank you for reading my blog post bye. BY.TANIKA.LOL.

How To Make The Olympic Art We Made.

Hi, this is how to make the Olympic art we made. First you need a piece of A3 paper, then you will need to trace a piece of A4 paper on the A3 paper then, you have to pick a Olympic sport and then print it out ( make sure the sport pic is all black like my art), after that you need to make a funky pattern inside the A4 trace then, pick three colours (pastels) and colour in your funky pattern then, you have to make a collage with PVA glue and ripped up pieces of news paper it can only be black and white though, then stick your Olympic sport on with PVA glue last, you will need to write olympics at the top making sure to fill up the whole space and the same with the bottom but instead of writing olympics you write your Olympic sport making sure two fill up the whole space of course and then go over in in black vivid.By.Tanika.<3 .="" br="">

My space presentation is all about the planet's and I have put a couple of page's around about end and its about the dangers on earth and fun facts about humans.

On my presentation I have things that I know about the planets for example, Earth is the only planet with life and everyone will know about it because we live on it and scientist still haven't discovered.

For my space home learning I made a model of the solar system popping out of a piece of black paper, what I used was. Polystyrene balls in three different sizes large,medium and small. I also used paint one felt tip pen in orange. I also used normal A4 paper to make Jupiter,Neptune,Saturn and Uranus's rings. It was really hard because I got really tired and my arm went sore then the next day my arm was numb. After that I needed to make one more thing and that was a model of the Earth (where all humans live) and what I used for that was. Green and blue paint and a large polystyrene ball. By.Tanika
